Market Position and Network

BDO is the largest bank in the Philippines by total assets and has the largest distribution network with over 1,300 operating branches and more than 4,000 ATMs nationwide. BDO is a member of the SM Group, one of the country’s largest and most successful conglomerates with businesses spanning retail, mall operations, property development (residential, commercial, hotels and resorts), and financial services.

Corporate Structure

The current bank is the product of the Banco de Oro–Equitable PCI Bank merger, with the boards of both banks agreeing to merge on December 27, 2006. BDO Corporate Center is located at 7899 Makati Avenue, Makati City. Although part of a conglomerate, BDO’s day-to-day operations are handled by a team of professional managers and bank officers, and the Bank has one of the industry’s strongest Board of Directors, composed of professionals with extensive experience in various fields that include banking and finance, accounting, law, and business.

BDO has one foreign branch in Hong Kong and 19 remittance/representative offices operating in Asia, Europe and the United States.
