Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions, Inc. (PSE: CNVRG), one of the Philippines’ major internet providers, announced its financial results for the first three months of 2026, according to a disclosure filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 14, 2026.
What Is Converge?
Converge is a telecommunications company that provides internet services to homes and businesses in the Philippines. Think of them as the company that brings internet connection to your house through fiber optic cables – those special cables that deliver super-fast internet.
Big Milestone: 3 Million Customers
The company reached an important milestone by surpassing 3 million residential subscribers. This means over 3 million Filipino homes are now using Converge for their internet needs. By the end of March 2026, they had exactly 3,089,144 total subscribers.
Dennis Anthony Uy, the company’s CEO and Co-Founder, said this achievement shows their commitment to bringing quality internet to more Filipinos, especially in areas that previously had limited or no internet service.
How Much Money Did They Make?
In simple terms, here’s what Converge earned in the first quarter (the first three months) of 2026:
- Total Revenue: P11.2 billion – this is 3.7% more than what they made during the same period last year
- Home Internet Revenue: P9.2 billion came from residential customers
- Business Internet Revenue: P2.0 billion came from companies and businesses, growing 16% compared to last year
- Net Income: P3.0 billion in profit
What Does EBITDA Mean?
EBITDA is a way to measure how much money a company makes from its main business before paying taxes and debts. Converge’s EBITDA reached P6.9 billion, growing by 3.3% from the previous year. Their EBITDA margin was 61.8%, which means that for every peso they earned, they kept about 62 centavos before other expenses. This is considered very strong in their industry.
Making Customers Happier
According to the disclosure, Converge has been hiring more workers to improve their customer service. They’ve been holding job fairs and partnering with schools to find skilled technicians who can fix and maintain their internet network.
The company reported several improvements in how they serve customers:
- They’re solving customer problems 27% faster than before
- They’re fixing internet line problems within one day 20% more often
- They’re responding to social media complaints 42% faster
Uy explained that they want to invest in Filipino workers and create job opportunities locally, rather than losing talented people to jobs abroad.
New Data Centers
Converge has built two new data centers – one in Caloocan and another in Angeles City. Data centers are like giant computer storage facilities where companies keep important digital information and run their online services. The Angeles Data Center is now ready to serve customers and can handle advanced computing needs, including artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.
Awards and Recognition
The company received several awards from Ookla, a global company that tests internet speeds around the world. Converge won recognition for:
- Fastest Fixed Network – with a Speed Score of 61.12
- Best Fixed Network – with a Connectivity Score of 75.09
- Best Video Experience – with a Video Score of 83.73, showing they provide smooth streaming for movies and videos
- Lowest Latency – with a Latency Score of 13.94, meaning their network responds quickly for gaming and video calls
These awards are based on millions of real speed tests done by actual internet users across the Philippines during the second half of 2025.
Understanding Their Money Situation
The company paid dividends (a share of profits given to stockholders) of P0.49 per share in recognition of their strong performance in 2025.
As of March 31, 2026, Converge had total debt of P15.8 billion after borrowing an additional P7.0 billion in March 2026. However, their financial ratios show they can comfortably manage this debt and are within the limits set by their bank agreements.
They spent P2.9 billion on capital expenditures (money used to improve and expand their network) during the first quarter of 2026.
Their Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) – which measures how efficiently they use money to generate profits – was 15.6%, considered industry-leading.
Network Coverage
Converge added 104,932 new residential fiber connections during the quarter. The company continues to expand its fiber network across the Philippines to reach more homes and businesses.
