What Makes This Hotel Special?

According to Mathias Bergundthal, who leads CLI Hotels and Resorts, bringing this globally recognized hotel brand to Cebu shows that the city has a strong and growing number of travelers who need places to stay.
Where Is It and What Does It Offer?
The hotel is located inside Astra Centre along A.S. Fortuna Street in Mandaue City. This is a mixed-use development (which means it has different types of buildings) including a mall, condominiums, and offices all in one place. The location is convenient because it’s close to important business areas like Cebu IT Park and Cebu Business Park, and not too far from the Mactan Cebu International Airport.
The hotel has 144 rooms divided into five types: Superior, Deluxe, suites, and family rooms. Each room has modern features like fast internet, TVs where you can stream shows, and all the basic things guests need. The design mixes Cebuano style with modern looks.
Amenities and Facilities
Guests can enjoy several dining and entertainment options:
- OUIBAR+KTCHN – a restaurant serving Mediterranean food
- RED Deli – for Asian takeaway meals
- The RED Deck – a poolside bar for drinks and snacks
The hotel also has a gym that’s open 24 hours, a spa, a swimming pool, and different event spaces called The Studio, The Loft, and the RED Room for meetings or celebrations.
One unique feature is a life-size jeepney display in the lobby. This adds a Filipino touch to the international hotel brand and makes it feel more connected to the local community.
How This Helps Cebu Landmasters Earn Money
This is now the fifth hotel that CLI actually operates and runs. Hotels are important for CLI because they provide “recurring income” – this means the company earns money regularly from guests staying at the hotel, unlike selling condos which is a one-time sale.
CLI’s other hotels include Citadines Cebu City, lyf Cebu City, The Pad Co Living, and Citadines Bacolod City. Together, CLI Hotels and Resorts manages 10 hotel properties with a total of 1,719 rooms, though only 827 rooms are currently open and operating.

Bergundthal mentioned that the company sees more opportunities to open hotels in key cities across Visayas and Mindanao. They have upcoming projects including Mercure Cebu Downtown and Citadines Paragon Davao.
