Vitarich Corporation was founded by the Sarmiento Brothers and initially known as Phil-American Milling Co., was established to help the country’s livestock industry. The company invested in several advancements that brought forth the largest, most modern and fully equipped feed plant in the country at the time.
From here, Vitarich continued to grow and started venturing into the poultry business. Later on, Vitarich expanded its services to Visayas and Mindanao Regions making it possible to serve more Filipino Farmers. Vitarich opened its arms to partnership with different business entities and ventured into fast-food enterprise.
Vitarich Corporation is primarily engaged in manufacturing, preparing, processing, mixing, and dealing with feeds, foodstuffs, grains, and commodities of every description for poultry, livestock and all kinds of animal feeding. The Company’s segments include Food, Feeds, Farms, and Corporate and Others.
The Food segment is engaged in the growing, production and distribution of chicken broilers, either as live or dressed, and products are distributed to hotels, restaurants, institutional clients, wet markets, and supermarkets. The Feeds segment caters to the feed requirement of the poultry grower’s industry and is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of animal feeds, animal health and nutritional products, and feed supplements sold to various distributors, dealers, and end users. The Farms segment is involved in the production, sale, and distribution of day-old chicks.
The company earned its ISO Certification as proof of its compliance to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard by the Certification International (CI). Three feed milling plants in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao received a Grand Slam Certification from ISO Feed Safety and HACCP.
Vitarich successfully completed its supposed 15-year corporate rehabilitation and converted its P2.38 billion debt into equity. Lifetime Profitable Partnership, or LPP, was also launched with an aim of building relationships and growing business supported by the company’s core values.
