GERI to Hand Over ₱11 Billion Worth of Homes and Properties in Provinces This 2026

Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI), a company owned by Megaworld that builds vacation homes and communities outside Metro Manila, announced on May 7, 2026 that it will be giving property buyers keys to their new homes and land worth ₱11 billion this year. This shows that many Filipinos still want to buy homes and properties in the provinces.

What is GERI doing?

According to the company’s disclosure to the Securities and Exchange Commission, GERI is completing and turning over (or handing over to buyers) several residential units, houses, and lots in different provinces around Metro Manila. Think of it like when a toy factory finishes making toys and delivers them to the stores – GERI is finishing construction of homes and giving them to the people who bought them.

Where are these properties located?

The properties being turned over are spread across several provinces:

  • Cavite: Residential units at The Lindgren and commercial lots at Arden Botanical Estate in Trece Martires and Tanza
  • Laguna: Housing units at The Hamptons Terraces, residential lots at The Hamptons Caliraya in Cavinti, and residential units at Tulip Gardens at Southwoods City in Biñan
  • Rizal: Residential lots at Eastland Heights in Antipolo
  • Batangas: Units at Twin Lakes Manor and The Belvedere at Twin Lakes in Laurel
  • Aklan: Units at Boracay Newcoast in Malay

Why is this important?

Monica T. Salomon, president of GERI, explained that there is still strong demand for homes and commercial spaces in areas outside Metro Manila. People see long-term value in these communities because they combine nature, modern conveniences, and good investment potential. It’s like buying a house where you can enjoy trees and fresh air, but still have shopping malls and good roads nearby.

About GERI’s Properties

GERI has designed each community with special features:

  • The Lindgren in Cavite has Scandinavian-inspired (think Nordic or Swedish-style) houses with gardens and natural rivers nearby
  • Tulip Gardens in Laguna is located very close to Southwoods Mall and just one minute from the South Luzon Expressway
  • The Hamptons Caliraya is a 300-hectare lakeside community with different villages
  • Twin Lakes in Batangas is the Philippines’ first vineyard resort community with views of Taal Volcano and lake
  • Eastland Heights in Antipolo sits at 1,100 feet above sea level at the foothills of the Sierra Mountains

How big is GERI?

Today, GERI operates 12 tourism estates and integrated lifestyle communities across the Philippines, covering more than 4,100 hectares of land. To put this in perspective, that’s about 5,800 soccer fields combined! Their largest development is Twin Lakes at 1,200 hectares, followed by Eastland Heights at 690 hectares and Southwoods City at 561 hectares.
