Top Line Business Development Corp. (stock symbol: TOP), a fuel company based in Cebu, has announced a new partnership with Angkas, the popular motorcycle taxi service in the Philippines. According to their disclosure filed on July 21, 2026, this deal will give special fuel discounts and benefits to Angkas riders in Cebu.
What Is This Partnership About?
Think of it like this: Angkas drivers need to buy gasoline every day to do their job, just like you need to charge your tablet to play games. Top Line, through its fuel station business called Light Fuels Corporation, will now be the special fuel partner for these Angkas riders in Cebu.
The company explained that this partnership lets them serve about one-third (that’s 1 out of every 3) of all motorcycle taxi riders in Cebu. Right now, the government allows only 9,000 motorcycle taxi riders to operate in Cebu, split among three companies, and Angkas is one of them.
How Big Is This Deal?
According to Eugene Erik Lim, who is the Chairman, President, and CEO of Top Line, this partnership could mean selling up to 42,000 liters of fuel every single day. To help you imagine how much that is – that’s enough to fill about 1,000 motorcycles daily!
Mr. Lim said: “This partnership has the potential to unlock up to 42,000 liters of liquid fuel sales per day, while allowing us to support the daily needs of motorcycle taxi riders who are essential to Cebu’s mobility ecosystem.”
What Do Angkas Riders Get?
Angkas riders who join this program will receive several benefits through something called the “Light Rewards S Program”:
- A discount of P2.00 for every liter of gasoline they buy
- A discount of P1.00 for every liter of diesel they buy
- One free motorcycle wash every three months
- A chance to join raffle contests with prizes
David Brian Medrana, who leads operations at Angkas, explained that fuel is one of the biggest expenses for motorcycle taxi drivers, so these discounts will really help them save money while they work.
About Top Line Business Development Corp.
Top Line is a company from Cebu that works with fuel and petroleum products in the Visayas region of the Philippines. The company has two main businesses: Topline Logistics and Development Corp., which imports and sells fuel products, and Light Fuels Corporation, which operates gas stations where regular people and now Angkas riders can buy fuel.
The company is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange under the symbol TOP. According to their disclosure, Top Line has 10,742,193,000 common shares outstanding.
Why Is This Important for Top Line?
This partnership is a smart business move for Top Line because Angkas riders need to buy fuel very frequently – sometimes even multiple times a day. By offering them discounts and rewards, Light Fuels hopes these riders will choose their gas stations over competitors, which means more regular customers and more fuel sales every day.
The company sees this as part of their plan to become a favorite fuel provider for people who use the roads a lot for their work, like delivery riders, taxi drivers, and now motorcycle taxi riders in Cebu.
