DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the company behind popular online gaming platforms like BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, has shared its earnings report for the second quarter of 2026. According to the official filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company showed steady growth in several key areas of its business.
Understanding the Numbers: What Did DigiPlus Earn?
Think of DigiPlus like a big online arcade where people can play different games. In the second quarter of 2026 (April to June), the company made money in several ways, and here’s what happened:
- Operating Income: This reached ₱2.35 billion, which is 8% higher than the previous quarter (January to March). Operating income is the money the company makes from running its main business.
- EBITDA: This financial term stands for earnings before certain expenses are counted, and it reached ₱2.84 billion, up 7% from the previous quarter.
- Reported Net Income: The company reported ₱6.98 billion in total profit, which jumped 124% from the previous quarter. However, this big increase includes a special one-time gain from an investment in another company called International Entertainment Corporation (IEC).
When you remove that special gain and look at just the regular business operations (called “core net income”), DigiPlus earned ₱2.35 billion in the second quarter.
More People Are Playing: User Growth Story
One of the most exciting parts of DigiPlus’s report is how many more people are using their platforms:
- Monthly Active Users (MAU): An average of 5.75 million people used DigiPlus platforms each month during the quarter. These are people who visited and played games on BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, or GameZone.
- Monthly Average Bettors and Depositors (MABD): This number jumped 26% to 4.68 million people. These are users who actually put money into the platform to play games, which is important because they’re more engaged than casual visitors.
According to DigiPlus President Ping Chen, this growth shows that people really enjoy the quality of their gaming experience and that the company is getting better at attracting new users.
A New Way to Measure Success: Net Gaming Revenue
Starting this quarter, DigiPlus introduced a new metric called “Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) after tax” to help people understand their business better, similar to how international gaming companies report their performance.
Here’s what happened with their revenue:
- Gross Gaming Revenues (GGR): This decreased 9% to ₱15.61 billion. DigiPlus explained this was because they spent more money trying to attract new users, combined with general economic conditions affecting how much people spent.
- Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) after tax: This actually increased by 0.9% to ₱5.52 billion. This is what’s left after paying regulatory fees to PAGCOR (the Philippine gaming regulator), game provider fees, marketing costs, payment fees, and taxes.
Think of it this way: GGR is like the total amount of money people spend at the arcade, while NGR is what the arcade owner actually keeps after paying for all the costs to run the business. Even though total spending went down a bit, DigiPlus became more efficient, so they kept about the same amount of money.
Strong Financial Position
DigiPlus ended the quarter with ₱10.51 billion in cash and cash equivalents (money they can easily use). This is impressive because during the first half of 2026, the company:
- Paid ₱3.8 billion in dividends to shareholders
- Invested ₱12.2 billion in convertible notes from International Entertainment Corporation
The company also spent 5% of its revenues on research and development, creating new games and improving their platforms.
New Games and Partnerships
DigiPlus launched several new games during the period, including:
- Pinoy Drop Ball Turbo
- Bingo Swerte
- Pride Champion
- Bingo Speed (a faster version of their bingo game)
The company also made notable partnerships, with ArenaPlus becoming the Official Partner of the NBA (National Basketball Association) in the Philippines.
BingoPlus celebrated its fourth anniversary with a big event, while GameZone marked its second anniversary.
