PNB Makati Center Adds More Shops and Restaurants as Building Spaces Fill Up

PNB Holdings Corporation (PSE: LTL), a company that owns and manages buildings in Metro Manila, is making better use of its PNB Makati Center property by turning unused spaces into stores and restaurants where people can shop and eat.

What’s Happening at PNB Makati Center?

Think of it like this: Imagine you have a big house with some empty rooms. Instead of leaving them unused, you decide to turn them into useful spaces where people can do fun things. That’s exactly what PNB Holdings is doing with their building in Makati.

According to the company’s announcement on October 19, 2026, they transformed parts of the ground floor (the bottom level) and mezzanine floor (a level between the ground and first floor) into retail shops and wellness areas. This means more places for people to buy things, eat food, and take care of their health.

How Much Space Are We Talking About?

The property now has about 4,780 square meters of retail and wellness space. To help you picture this: that’s roughly the size of 20 basketball courts! And the good news for PNB Holdings is that almost all of these spaces now have tenants (businesses renting the space), meaning the building is nearly full.

Who’s Moving In?

The newest tenant is HungrySans, a café that sells specialty coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and full meals throughout the day. The lease agreement was signed by PNB Holdings President Karlu T. Say and Hungry President Josemaria Antonio Sanchez at the PNB Makati Center.

HungrySans joins other businesses that have already opened at PNB Makati Center:

  • Maxicare – a healthcare service
  • BeFit – a fitness center
  • CHAGEE – a dining option
  • Bibingka Manila – a food concept

What’s Coming Next?

Two more businesses will be opening soon at PNB Makati Center:

  • Salady – a Korean salad restaurant chain
  • Lawson – a convenience store

PNB Holdings says they’re gradually turning the property into a “vibrant food block” in Makati’s central business district, which means creating an area with lots of food and dining choices all in one place.

About PNB Holdings Corporation

PNB Holdings Corporation (PSE: LTL) is a Philippine company that owns and manages commercial buildings, mostly in Makati and Pasay areas of Metro Manila. The company was incorporated way back in 1920 and owns several important properties including the Buendia Property, PNB Financial Center, and PNB Makati Center.

Why Is This Important?

This expansion shows how PNB Holdings is making money from its buildings without spending huge amounts on major construction projects. Instead of building new structures, they’re smartly using the space they already have, turning it into areas that businesses want to rent. This approach is called “maximizing existing assets” – basically, making the most out of what you already own.
