Cebu Air, Inc., operating as Cebu Pacific, is a Philippine low-cost airline based in Pasay, Metro Manila. Founded in 1988, the airline is the first low-cost carrier in Asia and is also the largest airline in the Philippines by fleet size. The airline entered the aviation industry in March 1996 and pioneered the “low fare, great value” strategy in the country. Cebu Pacific has served over 200 million passengers.
The airline offers scheduled flights to both domestic and international destinations and operates flights from five bases in Cebu, Clark, Davao, Iloilo, and Manila. The airline offers the widest domestic network in the Philippines with 35 domestic destinations and also currently operates flights to 24 international destinations, spanning across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
Cebu Pacific currently operates the youngest jet fleet in the country with its 72-strong fleet including 11 A321neo, 18 Airbus A320ceo, seven Airbus A321ceo, 14 Airbus A320neo, one Airbus A330ceo, five A330neo, 14 ATR 72-600, and two ATR freighters. The airline is replacing its existing aircraft with new fuel-efficient aircraft, specifically the Airbus A320neo family by 2028, marketing the initiative as a pathway to “Experience a Neo Way to Fly”.
Cebu Pacific is also the preferred air cargo carrier in the Philippines and provides competitive, fast, flexible and straightforward air cargo service to an extensive network including individual shippers and cargo agents within the country and overseas.
The airline is a subsidiary of JG Summit Holdings. On May 16, 2016, Cebu Pacific became a founding member of the world’s largest low-cost carrier alliance, Value Alliance. The airline has been awarded with a 7/7-star rating by global airline quality rating company AirlineRatings.com. Cebu Pacific recently received the Asia Environmental Sustainability Airline / Airline Group of the Year from the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation for its leadership in sustainability performance in the regional aviation industry.
