Cebu Pacific Flies 2.5 Million Passengers in March 2026, Up 11.5% From Last Year

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the biggest airline in the Philippines, shared their passenger numbers for March 2026. According to their traffic performance report, they flew more than 2.5 million passengers during the month – that’s 11.5% more people compared to March 2025.

What Do These Numbers Mean?

Think of an airplane like a school bus. The airline wants to fill as many seats as possible on each flight. They measure this using something called “Seat Load Factor” or SLF – it’s like checking how full the plane is.

In March 2026, Cebu Pacific’s planes were 82.1% full, which is slightly better than the 81.4% they had in March 2025. This happened even though they added 10.6% more seats (meaning they flew more planes or bigger planes).

Domestic vs International Flights

Domestic flights (flights within the Philippines) carried 1.85 million passengers, which is 11.6% more than last year. The airline added 13.7% more seats for local flights, and their planes were 82.5% full.

International flights (flights to other countries) carried 613,000 passengers, up 11.3% from last year. These flights were 81% full – a big jump of 6.7 percentage points compared to last year’s 74.3%.

How Did The First Quarter Perform?

From January to March 2026, Cebu Pacific flew over 7.5 million passengers total, which is 8.4% more than the same period in 2025 when they flew 7 million passengers.

Breaking it down: 5.6 million passengers flew domestic routes (up 7.9%), while 1.9 million flew international routes (up 9.8%). Overall, their planes were 83.7% full during this three-month period.

What’s Next For Cebu Pacific?

Mike Szucs, the Chief Executive Officer of Cebu Pacific, explained that March had strong demand partly because school breaks started and international travel continued to grow. He said the airline managed their flights carefully to keep their planes nicely filled.

However, Szucs mentioned they’re being careful about the second quarter (April to June) because fuel prices are going up and down a lot. The airline is adjusting how often they fly certain routes, focusing on the more popular ones. He emphasized that Cebu Pacific will continue its main goal: helping Filipinos travel by offering flights that are affordable, convenient, and reliable.

About Cebu Pacific

Cebu Pacific is the leading airline in the Philippines. They started flying in March 1996 as a “low-cost carrier,” which means they focus on offering cheap tickets while still providing good service. Since they began, they’ve flown over 280 million passengers – that’s like flying the entire population of the United States almost as many times as there are days in a year!

The airline flies to 36 destinations within the Philippines and 26 international destinations. They operate 101 aircraft, making it one of the youngest airplane fleets in the world (meaning their planes are newer and more modern).
