Converge ICT Shows Strong Business Growth: Enterprise Sales Up 15% in First Half of 2026

Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. (PSE: CNVRG), one of the major internet providers in the Philippines, reported positive financial results for the first half of 2026, according to their disclosure to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

What Are the Main Numbers?

Think of a company’s finances like a report card. Here’s what Converge’s “grades” looked like for the first six months of 2026:

  • Total Money Earned (Revenue): P22.4 billion – this went up by 3.1% compared to the same period last year
  • Profit (Net Income): P5.5 billion – this is the money left after paying all expenses
  • EBITDA Margin: 59.1% – this is a measure of how well the company manages its costs (higher is better)

Two Types of Customers: Home Users and Businesses

Converge makes money from two main groups:

Residential (Home) Customers: These are regular people who use internet at home. This business earned P18.5 billion in the first half of 2026. The company now serves 3.09 million home subscribers as of June 2026.

Enterprise (Business) Customers: These are companies that need internet service. This part of the business performed especially well, growing 15.1% to reach P3.9 billion. Both small businesses and large companies contributed to this growth, with Small and Medium Enterprises growing 15.7% and Large Corporate clients growing 14.8%.

What Made the Enterprise Business Grow?

According to the company’s report, the enterprise segment grew because Converge won new business customers during this period. This was the main driver that helped lift overall revenue despite economic challenges.

How Well is the Company Managing Money?

Converge showed it’s good at controlling costs. The company maintained a Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) of 14.9%. Think of ROIC like this: if you invest P100 to build internet networks, how much profit do you make from that investment? At 14.9%, it means they’re making good use of the money they spend.

The company’s financial health remains strong with:

  • Net debt of P15.6 billion as of June 30, 2026
  • Total capital spending of P5.7 billion in the first half of 2026
  • All debt ratios well within safe levels required by banks

Better Customer Service

Converge reported improvements in how quickly they fix problems compared to the first quarter of 2026:

  • Service line repairs within one day improved by 8%
  • Repairs within five days improved by 2%
  • Time to fix internet outages became 60% faster
  • Customer complaints dropped by 84% from January to June 2026

The company said these improvements came from hiring more field technicians to serve customers better.

Internet Speed Awards

Converge received recognition for having the fastest and most reliable internet in the Philippines during the second quarter of 2026:

From the government’s Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Converge achieved:

  • Fastest download speed at 158 megabits per second (Mbps)
  • Lowest latency at 5 milliseconds (this means almost no delay when using the internet)
  • Best upload speeds

Converge also received awards from Ookla®, a company that measures internet speeds, for “Best Internet,” “Fastest Internet,” and “Best Fixed Latency” for January to June 2026.

CEO Dennis Anthony Uy stated, “Converge has always been focused on delivering the best quality service to its customers. Our upload speed reached a six-month high, while our network delivered best-in-class latency, reflecting the continuous investments we have made to improve customer experience.”

New Board Chairperson

On May 29, 2026, Converge elected former Senior Associate Justice Estela Perlas-Bernabe as its new Board Chairperson, making her the first female to hold this position. She replaced Jose De Jesus, who previously served as Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways. De Jesus will remain with the company as an Independent Director.

Justice Perlas-Bernabe said she is “deeply honored” to lead the company and is “truly excited to lead the Board as the fiber internet provider evolves into a future-forward technology company.”

Looking Ahead: Adjusted Expectations

Due to economic challenges including inflation pressures that started in the second quarter of 2026, Converge adjusted its expectations for the full year 2026:

  • Revenue growth: Now expecting 4-6% (mid-single-digit range)
  • EBITDA margin: Still expecting to maintain strong margins at 58-59%
  • Capital spending: Reduced to P17-20 billion
  • Target ROIC: Still aiming for 15.5-16.5%

Despite near-term economic headwinds, the company emphasized it remains “operationally resilient” through disciplined cost management.
