DoubleDragon's Hotel101-Niseko in Japan Completes Building Facade, Set to Open December 2026

DoubleDragon Corporation (DD) has announced that its 482-room Hotel101 in Niseko, Japan has finished its building facade and is now working on the inside parts of the hotel. According to the company’s disclosure on July 10, 2026, the hotel is on schedule to welcome guests by December 2026.

What’s Happening with Hotel101-Niseko?

Think of building a hotel like building a really big Lego house. DoubleDragon has finished the outside walls and structure (the facade), and now workers are busy putting together everything inside – like the rooms, hallways, and facilities. This is called “interior fit-out works.”

When it opens, Hotel101-Niseko will be the biggest hotel in the entire Kutchan area of Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan with its 482 rooms. This makes it a special achievement for DoubleDragon as they will become the first Filipino hotel company to build and run a hotel in Japan.

What Will the Hotel Offer?

The hotel will have lots of fun facilities including two indoor swimming pools, a hot mineral bath (called an onsen in Japan), a sauna, a gym, restaurants called HBNB, meeting rooms, a children’s playground, and even a ski rental shop with lockers for ski equipment.

Why Niseko?

Niseko is a famous vacation spot in Japan known for its special powder snow called “JAPOW” – which is very light and dry, perfect for skiing. Visitors can also see the beautiful Mount Yotei. During summer, people enjoy activities like rafting, hiking, biking, ziplines, and golf.

The location is becoming easier to reach, with new direct flights announced from Vancouver and San Francisco to Sapporo’s Chitose Airport. Filipinos can also fly directly from Manila to Sapporo through Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines.

Making Money in Different Currencies

DoubleDragon started earning money in Euros (European currency) in March 2026 when their 680-room Hotel101-Madrid in Spain opened. Once Hotel101-Niseko opens in December 2026, they will also start earning money in Japanese Yen. This means the company will be collecting hotel rental fees in different types of money from different countries.

About DoubleDragon’s Hotel101 Business

DoubleDragon owns several Hotel101 properties in the Philippines, including a 518-room hotel in Manila and a 606-room hotel in Fort Bonifacio, which are doing very well with many guests staying there.

Their Hotel101-Madrid recently achieved 100% occupancy (meaning all rooms were full) and earned more than €100,000 Euros in a single day, showing strong demand for their hotels.

The year 2026 is a big year for DoubleDragon’s hotel expansion. They plan to open 2,229 new hotel rooms total this year: 680 rooms in Madrid (already opened), 519 rooms in Davao, 548 rooms in Cebu, and 482 rooms in Niseko, Japan.

About DoubleDragon Corporation

DoubleDragon has a unique business model where they build hotels and earn long-term recurring revenues (money that comes in regularly) from hotel operations. Their big goal is to have 1 million Hotel101 rooms in 100 countries around the world.

In 2025, Hotel101 became the first Filipino company to have a subsidiary listed on the U.S. Nasdaq stock exchange. The company’s total assets are currently valued at ₱225.3 billion pesos.
