Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) Reports Record-Breaking 2025 Results: Highest Fourth-Quarter Operating Income Ever

Jollibee Foods Corporation (PSE: JFC) just had an amazing year in 2025, according to their official report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on March 14, 2025. Think of it like getting your best report card ever – that’s what happened to the company behind your favorite Chickenjoy!

What Does “Record-Breaking” Actually Mean?

JFC announced that their fourth quarter (the last three months of 2025: October, November, and December) was the best fourth quarter they’ve ever had in the company’s entire history. Their operating income – which is basically the money they earned from running their business after paying for things like ingredients, rent, and employee salaries – shot up by 41.9% compared to the same time the year before.

To put this in simpler terms: imagine you had a lemonade stand that made 100 pesos in profit last year. This year, you made 142 pesos – that’s how much better JFC did!

How Much Money Did Jollibee Make?

For the entire year of 2025, here are the important numbers:

  • Operating income: Grew by 19.3% to reach Php20.1 billion (that’s 20,100,000,000 pesos!)
  • Net income: Increased by 5.4% to Php10.9 billion
  • Earnings per share: Rose by 6.0% to Php9.386
  • Revenue: Went up by 13.0% for the full year

The fourth quarter alone saw net income grow by 20.1% to Php2.2 billion.

How Many Stores Does Jollibee Have Now?

This is really exciting: JFC opened 1,126 new stores in 2025 – the most stores they’ve ever opened in a single year! They now have a total of 10,341 stores around the world.

These stores are split between:

  • Philippines: 3,504 stores
  • International: 6,837 stores (including stores in China, North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Vietnam, and other countries)

That’s a 5.9% increase in their total number of stores!

Which Jollibee Brands Did Well?

JFC doesn’t just own Jollibee – they have 19 different restaurant brands! Here’s how some of them performed in terms of “system-wide sales” (which includes all money made by both company-owned and franchised stores):

In the Philippines:

  • Jollibee: +10.4%
  • Mang Inasal: +15.6%
  • Chowking: +6.1%

International brands that did especially well:

  • Compose Coffee (a Korean coffee brand JFC owns 70% of): +217.0% – that’s more than triple!
  • Highlands Coffee: +15.7%
  • Jollibee US: +17.3%

The coffee and tea segment was a “key growth driver,” growing system-wide sales by 44.9%.

What About Jollibee’s International Stores?

Jollibee’s international business is growing really fast! The CEO, Ernesto Tanmantiong, highlighted that Vietnam is now Jollibee’s largest overseas market by number of stores, and it had incredible growth of 40.4% in sales and 23.9% in same-store sales (meaning existing stores sold more, not just new stores opening).

What Does JFC Expect for 2026?

JFC shared their targets for 2026 (this is called “guidance”):

  • System-wide sales growth: 8% to 12%
  • Same store sales growth: 4% to 6%
  • Store network increase: 5% to 10%
  • Operating income growth: 15% to 18%
  • New store openings: 1,200 to 1,300 stores

Are Shareholders Getting Dividends?

Yes! On March 9, 2026, JFC’s Board of Directors approved a cash dividend payment of Php10.60125 per share for Series B preferred shares, totaling Php95.4 million. Stockholders registered as of March 24, 2026 will receive payment on April 15, 2026.

New Business: Hot Pot Restaurants!

JFC announced on February 13, 2026, that they’re buying a Korean hot pot restaurant chain called “Shabu All Day” through their subsidiary Jolli-K Co. Ltd. (which JFC owns 70% of). Shabu All Day has 169 stores in Korea as of January 2026.

Hot pot dining is becoming very popular because people like the healthy, interactive experience of cooking food at their table together.
