Rockwell Land Buys More of Alabang Town Center, Now Owns 99.2%

Rockwell Land, a real estate company in the Philippines, has announced that it’s buying a much bigger piece of Alabang Commercial Corporation (ACC), the company that owns Alabang Town Center. Think of it like when you collect trading cards – Rockwell already had most of the cards, and now they’re getting almost all of them.

According to the press release dated July 30, 2026, Rockwell Land signed agreements to buy shares from other shareholders of ACC. They’re purchasing 22.96% of ACC’s shares for ₱6.2 billion. That’s a lot of money – about the same as 6,200 million pesos!

From 76% to 99% Ownership

Before this purchase, Rockwell Land already owned 76.3% of Alabang Commercial Corporation. After buying these additional shares, their ownership will jump to 99.26%. This means Rockwell now controls almost the entire 17.5-hectare property where Alabang Town Center sits. To help you understand how big that is, 17.5 hectares is roughly the size of about 24 soccer fields.

Big Plans for Alabang Town Center

Rockwell Land isn’t just buying more shares for no reason – they have exciting plans for Alabang Town Center (ATC). During their meeting with shareholders in June 2026, the company shared that they’re working with a famous architect from around the world named Carlos Ott, together with a local Filipino architect named Jun Rodriguez from PRSP, to redesign the area.

Here’s what they’re planning to do:

  • Short-term (next 2 years): Make parking better, improve how people move around the area, and bring in new stores and restaurants
  • Long-term (5 to 10 years): Bring back the old charm that people loved while making ATC more fun and exciting – a place where families can enjoy shopping, eating, and spending time together

What Else is Rockwell Land Doing?

This purchase of ACC shares is part of a busy year for Rockwell Land in 2026. The company has been working on several other projects:

  • They handed over Aruga Resort and Residences in Mactan (a resort where people can stay on vacation)
  • They completed the main structure of Power Plant Mall Angeles (a shopping mall in Angeles City)
  • Their project called Cabo San Diego in Lian, Batangas received strong interest from buyers

By owning almost all of Alabang Commercial Corporation, Rockwell Land now has more control to make decisions about how to improve and develop Alabang Town Center without needing to ask as many other owners for permission.
